http://osxbook.com/book/bonus/misc/osxkernel/index.html seems to work for me. You should get an HTML page that points to a Flash presentation.[/quote]
opps: yes, the 'Kernel' preso loads fine (and also has a url for download) ....
it is the 'Internals' that was nto loading fine (there was a long pause with no other html or flash progress bar on screen, so i just assumed that it was empty .... but after switching from camino to safari, there was distinct activity on the statusbar, so i waited extra long - and poof! there it was (same thing back in camino - now that i knew what to expect/wait for).
all except one thing: no url for downloading 'internals'
my mistake?
cheers: david
ps: there doesnt seem to be a discount for a combo ebook/hardbook verison!?
pps: amazon's faq says that the adobe e-book reader can only be activated from a microsoft passport account!! is this true! why does your publisher (quantum or addison-weslley?) not put pressure on adobe to stay away from anything to do with ms DRM?!! .... is this subject best explored in another thread? |
